Alfresco installation on centos

Alfresco is an open source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system that manages all the content within an enterprise and provides the services and controls that manage this content. This article describes step by step installation process of alfresco-community-4.2.f version on your server. In this I have used the bin file for installation. The simple and easier way to install alfresco is by using bin file. Let us start with the installation process.

1. Download alfrsco community version installer from Alfresco official download link

You can use wget command to download the required file to your server. I have downloaded the file to my server under /opt folder

cd /opt

Once you complete the download process, make the file executable and start the installation.

chmod a+x alfresco-community-4.2.f-installer-linux-x64.bin

Start the installation process by entering below command,

[root@benchmark ~]# ./alfresco-community-4.2.f-installer-linux-x64.bin
