Active Directory Domain Service Setup in Windows Server 2012

In this article, we will go through steps for Setting up Active Directory Domain Service  in Windows Server 2012 R2. Before beginning, I would like to mention few things about what’s new in Active Directory  of Windows Server 2012 R2 🙂  Active Directory, as you know is a crucial service in Windows world. Secure and manageable infrastructure is what everyone is looking for. In my personal view, the key benefit of using Active Directory  are twofold. First, security can be integrated with AD service through the authentication process. Typically we say logon process and second, is manageability feature,  granting access to the different resources in the network through policy-based administration. Through the latest OS release, new features have been introduced in Windows Server 2012 R2. One of among is Workplace Join. Concept is like, each employees can access the company secured-resources through registered devices only. For this, a device ( it can be your PC or an iOS device ) need to be registered through Device Registration Service. So access will be granted from Known device with Single Sign On functionality. I will be posting an article on this later. So please keep visiting TechDire 🙂

Lets focus on the AD installation here. We will walk through the installation steps with the help of screenshots.
